Hip-hop, rock, pop, country, ALL TAKE FROM EACH OTHER. None of these massive genres mentioned are singular. Even Classical isn't singular, that which led to swing jazz which led to Be-bop and fusion, and that's just one path which includes many other styles. Classical music will always be directly related to Jazz with experimental artists like Stravinsky and Satie. Music while being recorded in a studio or played on-stage is a state of flow that we only describe with these labels to better understand and differentiate. Hating a whole of any of those 6 massive genres seems exhausting.

Mike Bordin on drums on every album and even going way back to Faith. No Man in the early 80s. He was there from the start and influenced by Killing Joke and traditional African drumming (I think) as well as Black Sabbath. His rhythms are really the unifying part of an often chaotic band and he doesn't get enough recognition so I'm glad you've noticed him and singled him out! Subscribed as well because I've seen a few of a few of your videos now and they were all good. Music reactions from someone who really gets it.

This song, except for the Bolero section, is an improv of a famous jazz piano song called, Cast Your Fate Into the Wind. That song was by Vince Guaraldi who also wrote the music for Charlie Browns X-Mas. Listen to Cast Your Fate Into the Wind and then relisten to this. The self titled Mr Bungle album seems to me, like a circus clown, going out after the circus has closed down for the night, on a drunken drug fueled bender. This song fits RIGHT IN.

Based on a True Story

I’m almost 60, and I can still feel the breezes blowing through my 13 year old mop of hair and listening to theLittle River Band . . . I swear, it was ALWAYS Summer with them. What an era, I was just catching my breath as BOSTON was introduced to the world by storm, and needed some calming down. Little River Band, Seals and Croft, The Carpenters, John Denver, all of these calming, melodic artists which helped spawn the total Anti soft rock platform of Punk, which was a rebellious rant musically that I recall being spawned in the London Underground. But I digress. Loved the era.

Fist time I heard this song was on a flight from London to San Francisco about fifty years ago it was playing on a loop I must have heard it at least ten times the next day I went out and bought the l p and this was my favourite song for years I drove my family nut kept playing it , still think it’s a great song today all these years later thanks for the memory.
